Mussoorie the Queen Of Hills
Mussoorie Hills is a hill station and a municipal board in Dehradun district of the Indian state of Uttarakhand. It is about 35 kilometers (22 mi) north of the national capital Dehradun and 290 kilometers (180 mi) north of the national capital New Delhi. The hill station is in the foothills of the Garhwal Himalaya Range. The nearby town of Landour, which also includes a military cantonment, is considered part of ‘Greater Mussoorie’, as are the townships of Barloganj and Jharani. The pin code for Mussoorie is 248179.
It is at an average elevation of 1,880 meters (6,170 ft). In the northeast there are ice ranges of the Himalayas, and to the south, the Doon Valley and the Shivalik ranges. The second highest point is the original red dune in London, which is 2,275 m (7,464 ft) in height.
