Rajaji National Park is mainly composed of dense green forests, and this environment forms a habitat for many animals. An amalgamation of three different forests with distinct life forms, Rajaji National Park has a vast diversity of land and fauna.
The park is on the northwestern border of distribution for both elephants and tigers in India. Other wild animals found in the park include the Asian elephant, Bengal tiger, langur, leopard, jungle cat, striped hyena, sambar, bear, barking deer, goral, Indian hare, monitor lizard, kachchi bear, Indian porcupine and rhesus macaque Huh.
